According to Marullah, the visit to the two islands is part of a series of environmental conservation and tourism promotion activities in Seribu Islands that had been conducted on Tuesday (8/23).

She assessed that tourist sector in Seribu Islands has been getting better, where many enthusiastic tourists have been seen visiting the two locations.

Seeing that, she hoped that it could help the locals' economic recovery.

"I invite all residents of Jakarta to visit Seribu Islands. Don't go on vacation far away, Jakarta has many beautiful islands. Hope our existence can have a positive impact on the Seribu Islands tourism sector," she expressed.

Jakarta DWP Head of Economics Emma Irwandi admitted that she was happy and amazed to see the beauty of the Seribu Islands' beaches.

According to her, the Jakarta administration had made many improvements and changes to tourist facilities in Seribu Islands thus they were more attractive. Moreover, MSMEs had also bounced back after being slumped during the Covid-19 period.

"Hope the Seribu Islands becomes a favorite tourist spot for many people and also recovers creative economy," she hoped.
